Note: You will need to show proof of residency (State ID, Drivers License)

Yes. You must be a Montana resident or Active Duty Military. Although, the person who is incarcerated will need to use their own notary. We have had the process take up to 2 weeks as we wait for paperwork.

Yes we can! We have had a few couples now go on destination weddings to Mexico, Jamaica and even Europe who have used our proxy marriage service.

Wedding Proxy has 30 days with which to turn in your paperwork; so, if we get all of your paperwork completed and turned in to the Clerk of Court within 30 days of the date you wish to be married, you bet we can get you married on the date of your choice.

While you're on the plane to your destination wedding we can have you married by the time you land!

Not at all. No matter the time of day, both you and your fiance can use our notary service 24/7. So while it may be 9am in Germany and 3am in New York, our notaries are ready at any time to complete your paperwork. We will be able to process all application when the clerk of courts in Montana opens for business which is 9am Mountain.

Only U.S. citizens are able to use our notaries at this time. But we are implementing a new notary service and should have it available 1st quarter of next year.

To use our online marriage notary service, the only acceptable primary forms of ID may include:
  • U.S. Driver’s license
  • U.S. Passport
  • State ID card
  • Passport Card
  • Work permits
  • Permanent resident card
  • Not Accepted: Military IDs & Inmate or Prisoner IDs: This is due to the fact that holders of this identification type may not be US Citizens or Permanent Residents.
The photo IDs listed below are suggestions based on IDs that are frequently accepted as a primary form of ID, but requirements vary by state. Note: Many states require the ID to be valid and unexpired. Our notaries can only accept unexpired IDs. All IDs must include a photographic image of your face. Blurry photos of IDs aren't accepted. If the ID is not clear, you will be asked to retake the photos. Note: Most states allow foreign IDs, but some states require the IDs listed above to be issued in the United States. Again, the requirements are dependent upon the state in which the Notary is commissioned.
